Reaping the Rewards of Spring
This is the Nine of Pentacles or Coins. A celebratory card if ever there was one!
Looking at the card from a chakra perspective, we see the predominant color as yellow - color of the solar plexus. Indeed, the figure looks quite relaxed with him/herself and is strolling in a vineyard.
The ground is a greenish-yellow, signifying the being is grounded in love and a stable relationship with oneself.
The garment is red on the inside, has a collar of red and the being is wearing a red hat. These all indicate a strong sense of stability, safety and being present in the moment. I would venture to guess this person spent part of winter diving into self-development or reinventing the self and is now ready to emerge in a more confident manner.
There is a tiny bit of blue near the throat - a clear indicator that this person is confident expressing thoughts and feelings.
Traditionally, this card indicates one who has overcome many hardships and is now reaping rewards. But one curious point, to me, is that the bird has such an ill-defined face. It’s almost as if the head is covered in a red ski-mask.
Birds are messengers. I wonder if this one has something to say about material wealth or perhaps connection, which are aspects of the root chakra.
